The Startup industry in Ireland do not want to get left behind in this. Dogpatch Labs has launched one of the most extraordinary program to help the startup world.
A special program called ‘Founders‘, talent accelerator program. The program aims at bringing together people who wants to get into the startup world and see if they have it in them to be a founder or co-founder.

Founders is giving an opportunity to people who have an idea / have the expertise in a particular domain, say in tech, marketing, sales, product development, etc. to come together and build a startup from scratch. To add to this, Dogpatch Labs will be paying the participants a monthly stipend and a potential investment opportunity as well.
The program is set to kick off from Sep 2023. The participants will have to be at the Dogpatch Labs facility in Dublin for a duration of 3 months and should be physically present to brainstorm, collate ideas, build the startup.
This is one of the unique programs in the startup world which is providing a launch pad for aspiring founders and also helping startups which in a nascent stage to find a suitable co-founder. The applications for this program has to be submitted by the 18th of June, 2023.
Founders are aiming at selecting a cohort of around 45 people. They will be brought together from Sep 2023 and paid a monthly stipend of 2000 Euros each. The participants will be divided into teams of 2 or 3 depending on the expertise, requirements, ideas, etc. In total, the plan to have approximately 17-18 startups formed by the end of this 3-4 months long program. Startups thus formed by these participants will get an opportunity to pitch their ideas to Dogpatch Labs.
Dogpatch Labs has announced that the plan is to select 7-8 startups and invest 100k in each of them. The second part of the program will continue with these selected 7-8 startups from Jan 2024 onwards for another 3 months, when the startups will use the funds to get going.
Market conditions are not so great in the recent times. Yes, there are startups who have received investments. However , majority of them are still trying to steam their engines with help from all possible resources. It is never easy to build a startup and getting investment is even harder.
In such a scenario, Dogpatch Labs is providing a wonderful opportunity to grab the driving seat. Out of all the applications received for the Founders program, 45 people will be selected. So once you are part of the cohort then there is a 50% chance that you will be part of a startup that will get 100k investment (including the stipend). This is considering that 7-8 startups will get selected for investment and considering a team size of 3, a total of around 21-24 participants will get the funding. This is actually an amazing chance.
6k stipend, 82-88k investment (depending on the team size), one unique program: Founders. However , first you have to be in it, to win it.
