Global Car Sales: At Crossroads : Customer ‘Spoilt for Choice’ or Courtesy Vague Market Signals ? Automobile Industry is Drifting ?

If you have a need and have the budget to buy a car , then this might be the best time to make that decision. The discounts are at all time high, plus you can bargain and get some waivers / discount on insurance, get some free accessories ,etc. The resale value for the car you purchase now vs something you would have purchased post April 2020 will get nullified with the current upfront discount. Also consider the fact that you will be trying to sell this car by 2022-23 & by that time the market situation might have completely changed. So there is no guarantee that a car bought post April 2020 will fetch you a great resale value.

There is going to be a great transition happening in the Automotive industry in the next 5 years. By 2025 the whole world would have moved to shared cars, self driving cars or even flying cars & that too brands like Google and Apple getting into the Automotive sector.

So this might be possibly the last chance to enjoy such huge discounts while buying your ‘own’ car. Continue reading Global Car Sales: At Crossroads : Customer ‘Spoilt for Choice’ or Courtesy Vague Market Signals ? Automobile Industry is Drifting ?

Who will manage your Facebook account when you go to live with the God?

It is definitely a spooky feeling when you think or even read about “Death”. Suddenly lot of things appear in front of your eyes and you will feel that there is a lot that is left unattended / to be completed.

I had a similar feeling when I read about the Facebook’s ‘Memorialized’ and ‘Legacy Contact’.

So how will your name appear once you are ‘Memorialized’? –

PICTURE YOUR FUTURE PART 1 : Wearables to Hearables to Tearables

Before I start writing Part 2 (which will be written as a separate blog post), thought of sharing the article I had written in Sep, 2014.

My 2014 article on “Picture Your Future”:-

Capturing a Picture is always a combination of Art and Science. Photographer should have the artistic view to visualize the right moment and make use of the Science of photography to capture ‘the moment’. It is very easily said than done and when it comes to business, economics, finance and management you have to be adept in capturing ‘the right moment’.

Speed of Connectivity and Connections will be the name of the game in the coming years.

‘Connectivity’ here means the literal meaning of being connected. Speed is the key word going forward. Faster you connect to the people around you, faster you will succeed in your ventures. Speed at which customers know about the company will make or break the success story of that company.

‘Connections’ capture the importance of making use of the technology around you to get connected to your customers. You need to be at each and every place where the customer will be present. Going forward Customers will not come looking for you but Companies will have to place themselves at Customer Convenient locations. You have to make use of the all technology touch points to be ‘connected’ with your customers.

Uber Talks : Driver gives you earning opportunity tips

Uber has become one of the best transportation support system when you don’t want to drive your own car.

Whenever I travel alone in such taxi app cab then I try to get into a conversation with the driver. Normally I start of the discussion with what is the current incentive system they have in Uber / Ola ? Is the cab owned by the driver and if yes how much does he earn a month ? Depending upon the responsiveness of the driver I tend to divert the topic to understand Consumer Buying Behaviour. Since I work with an automobile company I always try to understand the basic points considered by him before buying this car. So my set of primary research questions include : Why he bought this particular brand of car ? What is the USP? Was he offered any special discount by the automobile dealer? Whether service support was kept in mind while finalising this brand ? etc.

So as usual, I took an Uber today afternoon, and got into a conversation with the driver. I started off with my regular set of questions and the driver was very happy to answer all my questions in length. The moment I finished my set of questioning then he told me that ‘those who say that Uber drivers are not earning don’t know the earning opportunity’.
